Emma Tius
As a facilitator and educator Emma integrates her varied background in healing and fine arts, sustainability education and social justice to bring people of diverse backgrounds and abilities together for creative exploration and growth. Emma believes that in recognizing and developing our unique gifts and making change in ourselves, we inspire an inevitable ripple of change through every system we are connected to. Rooted in this philosophy, Emma sees this inter-connectedness as an opportunity to develop ourselves as powerful agents of change in our own lives and the world around us.
Emma approaches life with deep compassion, creativity and an endless commitment to learning. She believes in the positive potential of youth, and delights in supporting the process of sharing and discovery within a group. Through the delivery of arts-based empowerment programs, Emma has inspired and been inspired by thousands of youth, from rural settings to urban centres. Emma has worked in many capacities with organizations such as Power of Hope, Inclusive Leadership Adventures, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Restorative Justice Victoria, Sierra Youth Coalition, Society for Children and Youth, BC Institute Against Family Violence and Reel Youth.
