Grammy Produced Artist Debuts on Premier of Live Online "TV" Show

Cambridge, MA ­- On Saturday August 5th, 2006 at 1pm EDT the Sweet Mother Tour (SMT) is launching "Power of the People" TV, a first-of-its-kind interactive online talk show at www.sweetmother.org. SMT PoP TV will be the first program to use the SMT-Cast (TM) platform, a new online tool that gives Podcasters the ability to interact with online viewers via live video. SMT-Cast (TM) will be the first product to launch out of SMT Interactive, a new media company building tools to power the next generation of independent media.

The inaugural SMT-Cast (TM) of SMT PoP TV will feature up and coming Jamaican star Nadirah-X. Produced by multi-platinum pop legend Dave Stewart, of Eurythmics fame, "Nadz" has brought her conscious lyrics and authoritative delivery to recent collaborations with Joss Stone, Mick
Jagger, Dave Stewart & Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics, and on the Grammy-nominated latest release from Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff. Nadz is back in the studio working on her debut album titled "Ink."

• Mike has partnered with Surrounded By Cedar in planning a 5 day Urban Summer Camp for Urban Aboriginal and Metis identified youth 13-18. This program will take place in August at the Victoria Native Friendship Center.

• Mike performed at this years Car-Free Commercial Drive Festival.

• Mike has been contracted by Coppermoon as a youth rap producer to create material for the sound track of an educational video about Aboriginal youth perspectives on creating healthy communities. Here is a music video style clip from the workshops.
  

• Mike facilitated a two day 'Critical Thinking' training for a community of 'at risk' youth. This project was in association with The Ministry of Health, The McCreary Youth Foundation and Terra Centric.

On September 16th SMT TV™ will feature Brooklyn-based activist filmmaker
Eli
Jacobs-Fantauzzi.  Eli is the director, editor, and producer of “Inventos:
Hip-Hop Cubano,” a first in-depth look at Hip-Hop culture in Cuba.  The
film
premiered in Havana, Cuba and at the H2O International film festival in New
York in November 2003, and has since shown across the U.S. to great reviews.
Eli has been featured in Anthem Magazine, NRG Magazine, and the Libertad
Journal that wrote, “Inventos embodies the true spirit of hip hop, which is
to build a powerful and useful mechanism out of what is seemingly
impossible.”

Currently, Eli is in production on his next film entitled, “HomeGrown”, a
unique documentary on Hip-Hop in Ghana, West Africa.  He is a powerful
filmmaker, whose dedication to his craft is coupled with his commitment to
social justice and awareness.
